Our Next Date

Date: 21st February 2026

Time: 10am - 5pm

Location: Masson Lees Quarry, Matlock, DE4 2PA

We're organising another volunteering day at Masson Lees quarry, this time on Saturday 21st February. We've really appreciated the help so far and we'd love to meet more of you at our next one!

The project will be helping with planting 450 British native trees at Masson Lees Quarry. We'll be meeting at 10 am and aiming to start planting around 10:30 in the quarry. You'll be paired up in twos or threes to plant trees with a wooden stake and environmentally friendly tree guard. We will provide some more info on the day, and a briefing on what and where to plant.

Those travelling over 75 miles - round trip, can apply for travel fund support, please add where you are coming from and your total mileage to the quarry and back home in the form below.

If you enjoy being outside and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, we’d love your help.

Bring gloves, sturdy footwear, and your best spade, trowels & pitchforks (we’ll have some to borrow too).

Please complete the form below to book onto our maintenance day, or if you have any questions.

Thank you all for your continued support of the land.

We hope to see you down there soon.
